Arriving In Belize
As you arrive in Belize, be prepared to show your relevant travel documents, passport etc. A visa is not required for US, Caricom and most EU countries.
Immigration & Customs
Per the Customs laws of Belize, each person is allowed to import up to $10K BZD or equivalent. If you are visiting and not bringing in anything other than your personal effects for your private use then you have nothing to declare and you can queue in the appropriate line.
Belize Currency
The Belize Dollar BZD, is the official currency. The exchange rate is typically pegged at $2 BZD per $1 USD. US dollars and Euros are accepted at most places but only paper currency. Foreign coins are not accepted. There are bank ATMs throughout the country.
Picking Up Your Car
As you exit the terminal building, the auto rental facilities are directly in front of you.
If you are picking up at the airport we will meet you in the rental area. We can also deliver your car to any land destination in Belize

Belizeans are a variety of ethnic groups, mixes and cultures including Creoles, Mestizos, Mayan and Garinagu, East Indian, Asian, Mennonites, Middle Eastern and others. Belizeans are typically very friendly and laid back. Which can be attributed to how beautiful it is here.
Belize Healthcare
Belize's healthcare system is a combination of public and private services. The public system is free and provides basic care to everyone, including migrants.
Public healthcare
- The Ministry of Health and Wellness manages the public healthcare system
- The public system includes hospitals, polyclinics, and community health centers
- Public health clinics offer preventive and aftercare, including vaccinations and dental care
Private healthcare
- Belize also has private healthcare services
- There are pharmacies in Belize that offer prescription and over-the-counter medications
Emergency care
- In emergency situations, patients may need to be evacuated to the United States for treatment
